Sermon Notes

1 Kings 19:9-18

After the great victory on Mount Carmel, Elijah was forced to flee from the wicked and vindictive Queen Jezebel.  God sent him all the way down into the Sinai Peninsula to Mount Horeb, where God had spoken to Moses 400 years earlier.  While there, Elijah learned something about listening to the voice of God.

How does God tend to speak to us today?

  • Through His “still small voice.”
  • Through a sense of inner peace.
  • Through open and closed doors.
  • Through other people.
  • Through the study of His Word.
