Jun 20, 2021Building Walls Around Your FamilyBy: Phil PeacockSeries: (All)“Building Walls Around Your Family” Nehemiah 2:11-18 Nehemiah was the cup-bearer for King Artaxerxes of Persia at the time the Jewish exiles were returning to their homeland. On this Father’s Day, his example provides some valuable lessons for parents who want to build walls of protection around their families.
- Our marriages need protection.
- Our children and grandchildren also need protection.
- We need passion.
- We need prayer.
- We need planning.
- We need persistence.

Dec 27, 2020Casting Off the Things That HinderBy: Phil PeacockSeries: (All)“Let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.” Hebrews 12:1 No serious athlete would run a race wearing work boots, or carrying a bag of groceries, or with pockets full of rocks. All of those things would greatly hinder their performance, and they know it. In the same way, God gives us the wisdom to discern the attitudes and actions that hinder us from living the victorious Christian life.
