Matthew 26:17-30
While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.” – Matthew 26:26
In the upper room with his disciples, Jesus offered the bread as a symbol of his body which would be sacrificed for us. In other New Testament teachings, we, his followers, are called the Body of Christ. Perhaps in the experience of Communion, we can learn something about ourselves.
- We are TAKEN.
- We are BLESSED.
- We are BROKEN.
- We are GIVEN.
