When John the Baptist looked at Jesus and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world,” the Jewish crowds had some understanding about what he meant. The Old Testament scriptures foreshadow several important truths about Jesus Christ as the sacrificial and victorious Lamb.

 The PROVIDER of the necessary sacrifice is God.  Genesis 22:1-14

 A PERFECT sacrifice is required.  Exodus 12:3-13

 The PRICE for our forgiveness is high, but victory is PROMISED.  Isaiah 53:4-11
